Rail Clip Prism

Rail Clip prisms are used with AMTS track monitoring systems to provide early warning of unwanted changes in track geometry. It includes two components: a rail clip and an L-Bar prism.

Rail Clip: Available in 5.5 and 6-inch sizes, the rail clip is powered coated steel with two stainless steel clamping screws and one prism mounting screw.

L-Bar Prism: 25 mm optical glass prism with a 3-inch aluminum bracket.

Polymer Road Prism

Polymer Road Prism

Polymer Road Prism

Road prisms are low-profile optical targets used to monitor settlement and deformation of roads, pavement, and other surfaces.

Features: The polymer road prism features a low-profile, non-reflective black housing that is nearly invisible to drivers. It is fixed to the surface with an FHWA / AASHTO approved adhesive.

Dimensions: 3.9 dia. x 0.7 inch.
Materials: Injection molded polymer dome
Prism: 0.4 inch optical glass. Choose 10, 20 or 40 degree prism angle to achieve the best match with the elevation of the AMTS.

HD Road Prism

Road prisms are low-profile optical targets used to monitor settlement and deformation of roads, pavement, and other surfaces.

Features: The HD road prism has a heavy-duty, cast-aluminum housing made to withstand heavy traffic. It is installed with screws which help keep the prism in place during repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Choose single prism or a double prism (180° opposed).

Dimensions: 4 x 4 x 1 inch.
Materials: Cast aluminum housing.
Prism: 0.7 inch (17 mm) diameter optical glass. Double-sided unit has two prisms. Prism angle is 20°.

Note: Prisms now have a silver back coating and appear clear.
