GEO Office in Chicago Area
GEO's Chicago office has been active for several years, providing automated geotechnical instrumentation for notable projects such as Forsyth Pointe in St Louis and the UHS+Beumont Behavior Health Center in Detroit among others. Zach Boucias was appointed project manager for the area in 2019.
Zach studied civil engineering at Florida State University and continued with graduate studies at the University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign, specializing in Geotechnical Engineering. Involved with geotechnical instrumentation since 2014, Zach has experience in deep foundation load testing, railway monitoring research, optical monitoring of sensitive structures close to excavations, consolidation/settlement monitoring during surcharging, bridge monitoring, and many other applications.
