This satellite view shows the construction site for the Simpson Querrey Biomedical Research Center on Northwestern University’s Chicago Campus. The small blue dots are the locations of the AMTS (automated total stations) seen in the next two photos.
GEO supplied and configured the AMTS for Getec UK, the main instrumentation contractor on the site. Google Street View captured this AMTS from East Huron St. It is mounted on the portico of the RIC (Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago) building.
Then, while traveling along East Superior St, Google captured the other AMTS which was mounted high on the Kellogg School of Management building. The AMTS are monitoring 65 target prisms.
