The Handheld GI-404 Vibrating Wire Readout provides precise measurements of vibrating wire instruments and thermistors. Durable, lightweight, portable, and designed for easy one-handed operation, the GI-404 can read any VW sensor operat-ing between 400Hz to 6000Hz, covering almost all industry standard vibrating wire sensors made by any manufacturer. The GI-404 provides complete com-patibility with Industry Standard readouts.

The Vibrating Wire Handheld Readout is capable of reading any Vibrating Wire sensor operating between 400Hz and 6000Hz which covers almost all commercially available VW sensors. It displays readings in a choice of three frequency-related formats Frequency: Hz, Frequency2/1000 or Period, which is easily converted to engineering units. The wire excitation is 'swept', with four user selectable sweep ranges. A fly lead is supplied which connects to the readout via a Lemo plug and socket. The standard lead terminates in four 'crocodile' clips, two for VW reading and two for the thermistor. Manufactured from durable ABS plastic it has an IP66 rating: ideally suited to the rigours of a hard site life and can be used in all weathers.
